Alfred de Bréanski Jr. (1877–1957) was a distinguished British landscape painter and the son of renowned artist Alfred de Bréanski Sr. Following in his father’s footsteps, he became celebrated for his evocative depictions of the Scottish Highlands and Welsh countryside. His works often feature dramatic light effects — sunsets, misty valleys, and reflective waters — rendered with a poetic sensitivity that bridges Victorian realism and early modern romanticism. De Bréanski Jr. exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists, earning recognition for his atmospheric portrayals of Britain’s most scenic vistas.
