A Napolean III gilt and patinated late 19th century "Raingo Frères" bronze mantel clock.

It has a eight day movement striking on the full and half hour and has a white enamel dial showing roman numerals. Resting on top of the finely cast gilt bronze base, there is a beautiful bronze figure of a recumbent maiden signed H. Picard (Henri Picard (1840-1890).

(The firm Raingo Frères was established in 1823 and exhibited at some of the most prestigious exhibitions during the late 19th century, winning the gold medal at the 1889 Paris exposition Universelle)
