A charming pair of antique Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases, delicately hand-painted with cascading wisteria blossoms in soft shades of violet and blue, accented with rich gilt decoration and traditional figural motifs. The finely crackled ivory ground is beautifully detailed with elegant geometric borders and small applied double handles finished in gold.

These petite cabinet vases reflects the refined artistry associated with late Meiji to Taisho period Satsuma ware, combining delicate enamel work with the romantic symbolism of wisteria, a flower long associated in Japanese art with grace and longevity.

The underside retains its original gilt character mark.

Dimensions: approximately 5" high
Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear, including rubbing and wear to the gilding and surface consistent with age and handling. No major damages noted.

A lovely decorative piece for collectors of Japanese ceramics, Asian antiques, or fine cabinet objects.
