About the artist:

Jean-Pierre Dubord, born in Rouen in 1949, is a renowned French painter recognized for his post-impressionist style. His works primarily capture the landscapes and scenes of Normandy, particularly the banks of the Seine, the Normandy coast, and the unique lighting of snow-covered scenes. Dubord's ability to depict the subtle changes in light and color across different seasons is one of his distinctive features, especially evident in his representations of Rouen under misty conditions with blue-grey tones.

Dubord began exhibiting his work in 1970 and has since showcased his paintings in prestigious galleries worldwide, including Wally Findlay Galleries and Galerie Enatsu in Japan. His paintings are celebrated for their vibrant palettes and the joy of life they convey, often compared to the techniques of impressionist masters yet retaining a unique personal touch. Throughout his career, Dubord has received numerous accolades, including first prizes from various French cities and art salons. Since 1999, he has been listed in the Bénézit Dictionary of Artists, solidifying his place in the art world
